The fish canteen, near K R Circle is a rage among the girls. And giving the canteen brisk business are the students of Maharani College, located bang opposite the canteen. The college is surrounded by some of the most popular eateries in the City.

Satiate your craving for fish and its varieties at the canteen. The fish meals and pomfret fry are the most popular and is also available dead cheap at Rs 35 and Rs 40 each plate.

“I come here to have fish meals almost every other day and the best thing about this place is that the price is easy on your pocket. It’s delicious. My friends and I come here just for the meal,” says Shwetha, a BSc student.

Most of the students who hail from North Karnataka don’t worry about not getting their favourite Jolada Roti and Yennegai. They hop into Kamat Yatri Nivas in Gandhinagar which has authentic North Karnataka’s dishes. Although they don’t get to park themselves here for too long, the food leaves them coming back for more.

“I come from Hubli and I’ve never felt like I am away from home, as I get to gorge on almost homemade food here,” says Geetha Desai, a regular at Kamat.

Hotel Chalukya is a favourite with most students from Maharanis. Idli vada and coffee seems to be the accepted dish and beverage among students here.

Most of them hangout here after college. Sukh Sagar in majestic is another place where most girls frequent, usually after a movie. The fruit juices, ice creams, chaat and butter roti with paneer butter masala are popular.

 Students unwind here after college with a glass of their favourite fruit juice or a choice of ice cream.

“I come here just for the Jain pizza,” says Neha Jain. Most students relish on pani puri, bhel puri and sev puri.
