Mangalore to host half marathon on Jan 29

Nitte Education Trust is organising half marathon and 10 km walk on January 29. The marathon is to promote a healthy lifestyle along with celebrating the rich and bright culture of the Dakshina Kannada district.

The Marathon run is being conducted with the support of Life is Calling Sports and Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project.

The top three winners in 21 kilometres Half Marathon (Men and Women- Open Category) will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 30,000, 20,000, 15000 respectively.

The first place winner (Men & Women) in the senior category (above 50 years) will be awarded Rs 10,000.

The top three winners in the 10 kilometres Run (Men and Women) Open Category will receive Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. The first place winner (Men & Women) in the senior category (above 50 years) will be awarded Rs 7,500.
