Rail route survey to start from tomorrow

The survey for Mysore-Kushalnagar rail route will be flagged off on December 31 by Minister for Railyway K H Muniyappa, said District Congress President B T Pradeep.

Addressing a news conference on Thursday, he said that though attempts were made to execute this project during the tenure of former chief minister Gundurao, the project has finally materialised now.

He said that the Minister will arrive at Madikeri on Friday night, visit Talacauvery on Saturday morning and offer prayers to Goddess Cauvery. At 11.30 am, the Minister will be welcomed at Kushalnagar Ganapathi Temple and will taken to the venue in a procession.

He will inaugurate the Railway ticket booking counter in the post office and proceed to the public programme organised at Primary school ground where he will flag off the survey work. At 2.30 pm Muniyappa will take part in the Congress partyworkers’ meet to be held at Kannika International at 2.30 pm.
