Trouble in BJP ahead of BBMP polls

The recent withdrawal of the list of reserved wards moments after it was out, was an instance of the simmering discontent.

During the assembly elections, the BJP candidates had reportedly assured their dedicated workers a ticket in the BBMP elections. Now that the election process has kickstarted, the party workers are  pressurising their leaders to live up to their promises, sources told Deccan Herald.

The workers belonging to the upper caste are putting immense pressure on their leaders not to reserve the ward. The logic they are giving is that their chances of winning the election is very high and interestingly, all the party workers from the upper caste have the same story to narrate.
