Khan 'star war' set to enter sporting arena!

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh

Salman's arch rival, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is already the owner of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi today said that Salman had met him to know about the auction procedure. Modi said he thinks Salman is a serious buyer.
The two Khans, who are among Bollywood's most popular stars, had a fallout after a well publicised spat during the birthday party of actress Katrina Kaif in July last year.
The arguments were reported to be centred around the TV reality shows they were hosting - 'Dus Ka Dum' (Salman) and 'Kya Aap Pachvi Pass Se Tez Hai' (Shah Rukh). Salman's show had notched up higher TRPs over Shah Rukh's.

It was also said that Salman was miffed with Shah Rukh as the latter refused to do a guest appearance in his home production film 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna'.
When the media called the two stars "friends-turned- foes", Salman's scriptwriter-father Salim Khan had said they were competitors and hence could never be friends.
Recently when film industry came out in support of Shah Rukh after his detention at an American airport, Salman branded the incident as "no big deal".
The comment led to some activists burning Salman's posters outside his house. To which the actor reacted and said that those who wanted to burn his posters should buy them from his charity foundation "Being Human", so that the proceeds could be put to better use.

Shah Rukh also reverted to Salman's comment by saying that he felt hurt because it was the first time he went through such an experience and others may be used to it.
The two stars have acted together in films like 'Karan Arjun' and 'Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam'. While Salman did a guest appearance in Shah Rukh's 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', the latter reciprocated the gesture in Salman's 'Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega'.
Salman was part of the Shah Rukh's multi starrer "Om Shanti Om " title track. Interestingly, Salman hosted choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan, a close friend of Shah Rukh, on his quiz show 'Dus Ka Dum'.

Salman and his mother Salma Khan appeared in the first episode of Farah's talk show "Tere Mere Beech Mein", aired on Sunday last. The show is co-produced by Shah Rukh's company Red Chillies Entertainment's Idiot Box.
