The State police chief, Shankar Bidari, has urged schoolchildren to always dream big and be ready to make sacrifices to achieve that end.

“If you have the desire to dream, dream big. Don’t chase trivial dreams. But be ready to make the necessary sacrifices to realise those dreams,” Bidari said, after attending the valedictory function of the 26th free coaching classes for SSLC students for the academic year 2011-12. The function was organised by Kabir Trust at Kabir Ashram in J C Nagar on Sunday.

The DG&IGP told the students that he was very much like them. “Like you, I also studied in a Kannada-medium. You should not have inferiority complex choosing Kannada as the medium of instruction. Whatever you do, do with self-confidence,” advicedBidari.

Bidari felicitated the teachers, whereas the students were felicitated by V Lakshmi Narayan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nirman Shelters Pvt Ltd.
