Not a good mayor

The 'Babel' star is reportedly being asked by the residents of the city to run for the public office after helping to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward area through his Make It Right Foundation, providing affordable housing for families displaced by 2005’s Hurricane Katrina.

Supporters have even been distributing t-shirts bearing the slogan Brad Pitt for Mayor. But the actor, who owns a home in the city with his partner, actress Angelina Jolie, said that he would not make a good candidate because his policies would be too controversial.

“Yes, I’m running (for the office of mayor) on the gay marriage, no religion, legalisation and taxation of marijuana platform. No, I don’t have a chance. It’s not what I do best,” Pitt said jokingly.
