<p> Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been roped in to star in the Hindi remake of award winning Telegu film 'Magadheera'.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The rights of the S S Rajamouli directed historical romantic drama, have been bought by Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap's company.<br /><br />"Magadheera is a passion project for us at Phantom and we are happy to have the rights to re-create this magical piece of work, that blew us. Ranveer is the best thing that could have happened to it. He has all the ingredients to be a passionate lover a warrior and an entertainer all at the same time. All the biggest fans of Magadheera are coming together to re-live its magic with the support of Allu Aravind (producer of the original film)," said Bahl.<br />Before confirming Singh, there were strong rumours that actor Ranbir Kapoor was do the film.<br /><br />'Magadheera' will go on floors this year with a budget of 50 crores.<br />Bahl is yet to sign an actress opposite Singh and a director to helm the ambitious project. Singh is also starring in 'Lootera', the first film to come out of the newly formed production house.</p>
