N Balakrishna, actor and son of TDP founder N T Rama Rao, who has already made clear that he would join active politics soon, said, he would strive hard to bring the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in power in Andhra Pradesh.

"I will work hard to bring back the TDP into power and good governance provided by my brother-in-law and president of the party N Chandrababau Naidu," Balakrishna said while addressing a public meeting after unveiling a statue of his father at Jalaripeta near Pedawaltair junction in the city here this morning.

"People of the state are fed up of the Congress rule, which had totally neglected the welfare of all sections of the society," he said adding that the law and order situation in the state is not under control.

Commenting on Prajarajyam founder K Chiranjeevi's remark, who termed him as a 'child', Balakrishna said, "The people, who call me child have not seen his other aspects."

He said the people have confidence in TDP and his fans and party workers were his main assets.

Balakrishna, who was on a two-day tour of the district, earlier visited the agency area of the Paderu and Madugula and unveiled the statues of his father and addressed public meeting and road shows.
