Trouble at petrol bunk

Situation turned tense at Bharat Petrol Bunk at Hegganahalli near Sunkadakatte in Kamakshipalya police limits on Wednesday morning after a group of around 10 youths picked a quarrel over a petty issue and pelted stones at the bunk. Police rushed to the spot and took them into custody.

Based on a complaint, the police arrested three people - Siddaraju, Satish and Shekhar.

According to police, Siddaraju asked a petrol jockey to fill fuel in his bike tank for Rs 50. He left the bunk but returned minutes later as he suspected he had been cheated. He informed his friends about it and they too arrived at the bunk.  They picked a quarrel with the bunk workers accusing them of cheating customers. Irked by the workers’ response, Siddaraju and his friends threw stones at the bunk. Police rushed to the spot and arrested them.

The incident affected vehicular movement in and around the bunk for some time.
