Ministers' fate to be decided today

Last Updated 29 August 2009, 17:22 IST

At the closed door meeting, participants strongly argued that party loyal workers should be given prominence and the BJP should not go out of the way to please those who have hopped from other parties. Participants at the meeting felt that those who have been loyal to the RSS and the party have not been rewarded, according to sources. However, a final decision on the ministers’ removal will be taken at Sunday's meeting, as party president D V Sadananda Gowda arrived only on Saturday evening. Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will be attending the meeting.

At the meeting it was also felt that the image of the BJP and RSS was taking a beating because of the legislators openly expressing their views. The party has secured power in the State after a long struggle. However, it has not been able to deliver goods because of indiscipline of some its leaders. Earlier talking to the media on arrival in the City, the Chief Minister said that he would review the progress of works in districts once in two months.
