<p>A footwear vendor allegedly bludgeoned his carpenter-friend Friday night and surrendered before the Cottonpet police on Saturday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>According to police, the victim, Mujaheed, 18, was working with his uncle Abdul Majeed. He and his friend Fairoz, 27, a resident of Chaluwadipalya on TCM Royan Road, had fallen out with each other a few months ago. <br /><br />Fairoz went to Mujaheed’s house at Old Pension Mohalla on Friday night. The two consumed liquor and Fairoz took him inside the compound of a nearby veterinary hospital and strangulated him. Later, he bludgeoned Mujaheed to death and fled, the police said.<br /><br /> The locals noticed the body the next morning and alerted the police. A few hours later, Fairoz came to the police station and surrendered, said the police. <br /></p>
