He was addressing at the valedictory ceremony of a training camp organised for journalists at Kalasapura in Koppa on Friday. State Land Bank director H M Nataraj said that journalists should be cautious while using words in their writings. In addition, they should also give priority to social awareness, he added.
State Media Academy chairman D P Parameshwar presided. Zilla Panchayat member H M Sathish, State Working Journalists Association president Sudhindra Kumar, executive member Rajshekhar, secretary Yousuf Patel, Academy member N Raju and coffee grower Anil Colaco were present.
Journalist K K Moorthi delivered talk on ‘Media and Social Responsibility’. While journalist Balakrishna Puthige spoke on ‘Journalism - Yesterday and Today’, Dinesh Patvardhan delivered lecture on visual media.
