Union Corporate Affairs Minister M Veerappa Moily has said that no special meaning be attributed to the absence of a few members from the general body meeting of the KPCC.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Moily said all those who stayed away from the meeting did so only on account of their personal preoccupations.

“The absentee legislators will not join Nationalist Congress Party since it has no founding in the State. No politician is attracted to a party which does not enjoy mass support,” he said.

Moily said Congress will come to power by registering a thumping victory in the next Assembly election. He said Congress will come to power by securing people’s mandate and not through ‘Operation Kamala’ resorted to by the BJP.
