<p>Falak was put on ventilator again. Doctors are waiting for her body’s response to the antibiotics administered on her.<br /><br /></p>.<p>“She was put on ventilator because she had a problem in breathing. Her condition is still critical and we are keeping our fingers crossed,” said Dr Deepak Aggarwal, associate professor, neurology, Jai Prakash Narayan Apex Trauma Centre, AIIMS.<br /><br />“Right now the fluid in her brain is not circulating in the body which is creating pressure in the brain. <br /><br />We have put a tube to drain the fluid. Once her condition improves we’ll do a surgery to divert the brain fluid to the abdomen,” said Dr Aggarwal.The blood tests and bio-chemical tests of the child are within the normal range.<br /><br />Falak was brought to JPNATC in the third week of January. Doctors suspected she was suffering from ‘battered baby’ syndrome in which a person close to the baby inflicted physical injuries on her.</p>
