Fire in Mumbai scrap godown

A fire broke in a scrap godown in Mankhurd area here this evening, Fire Brigade sources said.

No casualty has been reported in the blaze at the godown located on the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road, they said.

Eight fire engines and as many water tankers have been pressed into service to put out the inferno which started at around 6.30 pm. Two ambulances have also been stationed at the spot, the sources said.

Cause of the fire was not immediately known.
