The Lokayukta police trapped a police constable while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 on Monday.
Mylari, an autorickshaw driver and a resident of Nagarbhavi, had complained to the Lokayukta police that T B Parthasarathy, a constable at the Cottonpet station, demanded a bribe of Rs two lakh, failing which he would be implicated in a case. Parthasarathy later settled for Rs one lakh.
Two instalments of Rs 50,000 and Rs 30,000 had already been paid. As Mylari did not want to pay the rest, he approached the Lokayukta.
