Reshma sets up Rituparna clash in final

 Third seed Reshma Karthik of Karnataka set up a girls’ under-17 final meeting with fourth seed Rituparna Das of West Bengal in the 36th National Junior badminton championships at the Sawai Man Singh stadium here on Saturday.

Reshma had to dig deep to overcome Ruthvika Shivani G of Andhra Pradesh 17-21, 21-16, 21-16 while Rituparna eased past qualifier Karishma Wadkar of Maharashtra 21-9, 21-7 in the in the semifinal matches.

Abhishek Yeligar’s run in the boys’ under-19 category ended with second seed Rohit Yadav C of Andhra Pradesh getting the better of the Karnataka shuttler with a 21-10, 21-16 verdict.
