Awards for works on Sharana Sahitya

Applications have been invited for Halakatti awards for 2012 from individuals and organisations who have been working on ‘Sharana Sahitya’ (Sharana literature). 

Halakatti Sri awards will be given under three categories: books, writers and organisations contributing to literature on Sharana Sahitya, life and works of Vachanakaras, criticisms and researches on the subjects. The applicants should send three copies of their books along with a brief note on their profile. 

The organisations should send the details of their membership, founding year and the efforts made by them to promote Sharana Sahitya. 

The awards, instituted 10 years ago, will be given at the State-level sixth Halakatti Vachanotsava - 2012 to be organised at Sholapur in Maharashtra by the Vachana Pitamaha Dr Pha Gu Halakatti Rashtreeya Pratishthana.
