Bhatt asks ACS for foolproof security

Suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt has reiterated the need to enhance his security and that of  his family members.

In his letter Bhatt has stated that he already had one PSO for his protection and one Armed Sentry but for fool–proof security he has demanded the need for a bullet–proof car and an escort vehicle.

The letter to the ACS stated, “My repeated requests to designate a Nodal Officer for the co–ordination of the Security Arrangements for myself and my family members has also not received any response from your end. Needless to elaborate, as you are fully aware, the existing arrangements for my security as well as the safety and security of my family, are neither adequate nor fool–proof. I cannot over–emphasize the fact that the threat to me and my family has increased manifold after my having filed the Writ Petition (Criminal) 135 of 2011 and Writ Petition (Criminal) 204 of 2011 before the Honourable Supreme Court of India. The evidence brought out in the said petitions has evoked very strong feelings of antipathy and hatred towards me, in the minds of the right–wing fundamentalists.”
