MP Rajeev Chandrashekar has adopted 30 animals at the Bannerghatta Biological Park (BBP) and handed over Rs 6.88 lakh towards adoption fee for the year 2012-2013.
Visiting the park along with Forest Minister C P Yogeeshwar here on Sunday, he released a ‘Great Indian hornbill’ into a newly-constructed enclosure.
The minister named a male elephant calf in the park as Drona and MP named a femalecalf as Meena. They discussed with the BBP Executive Director R Raju steps to develop the animal collection plan and enrich the animal stack in the zoo.
