MES College of Arts, Commerce and Science, is organising its inter-collegiate commerce and management fest Chakravyuh-2012 on February 24 and 25. For the last nine years, the fest has been successful in providing a platform to the undergraduate students of various colleges to recognise and develop self-reliance, leadership qualities and perseverance required to survive and excel in the corporate world.

Deccan Herald is the media partner for the fest which has the theme, ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’. Various events are being organised concentrating on the different sectors of the corporate world and giving the students an opportunity to put to practice what they learn in college. Some of the events are ‘Best Manager’, ‘Business Quiz’, ‘Mock Stock’, ‘Mock Press’, ‘Entrepreneurship’, ‘Marketing’ and ‘Finance’.

The Chemistry Department of MES College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Malleswaram will be hosting a national seminar on ‘The Role of Chemistry in Medicine’ on February 22 at the college premises. The seminar will be conducted in collaboration with National Refferal Centre For Lead Projects in India (NRCLPI).

Chemistry, Bio-chemistry, Bio-technology and Pharmacy students, teachers and research scholars can participate in the event. Students can register freely while teachers have to pay a registration fee of Rs 200. For details, call 988­0581750 or mail to anantha_c@rediffmail.com.


Tatva 2012, the annual technical fest of BNMIT will be held on February 24 and 25. It provides a platform unlike any other for the best minds to compete against each other and prove their competence.

The first day will see the intra-college events and the second day will have inter-college events. The expected footfall for the fest is around 2,000. The events which will be held on the first day are ‘Mock Stock’, ‘Treasure Hunt’, ‘Mock GD and Placement Interview’, ‘Tech-Dumb Charades’, ‘Photography’, ‘Tech-Talk’, ‘Puzzles and Crosswords’ and ‘Circuit Designing’.

The second day will have events like ‘Potpourri’, ‘System Design’, ‘Technical Quiz’, ‘Paper presentation’, ‘Product Launch’, ‘Coding’, ‘Gaming’, ‘Circuit Debugging’, ‘DIY(Hardware Event)’ and ‘Hogathon’. Various informal events will also be included to add fun to the fest.
