Realty stocks end in red

After gaining five per cent in early trade, the 14-share BSE realty index closed down 0.96 per cent at 2,295.42 points. The index dipped 1.54 per cent to a low of 2,281.74 points during intra-day. Shares of Unitech closed down 3.24 per cent at Rs 49.35. During trade the scrip slipped 3.92 per cent to a low of Rs 49. Over 2.22 crore shares got traded on the bourse.

DLF settled with a loss of 1.59 per cent at Rs 232.50. In intra-day trade it had plunged nearly three per cent to Rs 229.60. on the BSE.

Other major losers include Omaxe (1.13 per cent), Akruti City (0.53 per cent) and Parsvnath Developers (1.53 per cent).

Certain stocks manged to buck the trend and settle in positive terrain, including Sobha Developers (2.04 per cent).
