<p>Excise Minister M P Renukacharya said on Saturday that former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa and his supporters would not quit the BJP.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Renukacharya said: “It has been reported in a section of the press that the Yeddyurappa faction will quit the party if Sadananda Gowda does not step down by Monday. This is far from the truth.”<br /><br />Renukacharya said that BJP national president Nitin Gadkari had promised to give a suitable position at an appropriate time to Yeddyurappa. Hence, there is no scope for a show of strength by the former chief ministers, the Minister said.<br /><br />The meeting of the core committee comprising Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda, State BJP chief K S Eshwarappa, Yeddyurappa and other leaders would be held on March 3 in Delhi.</p>
