Bollywood actors Naseeruddin Shah and Randeep Hooda are uniting on the silver screen after over a decade for an upcoming revenge drama film, ‘John Day’.

‘John Day’ is an edge-of-the-seat revenge drama, produced by Anjum Rizvi, who earlier produced the much-acclaimed ‘A Wednesday’, starring Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher. “Director Ahishor Solomon came to me with this great script and he had Naseer sahab and Randeep in mind for the two lead characters. We approached them and both readily agreed after listening to the script. We are happy to have both of them together in ‘John Day’ where both have very interesting roles,” said co-producer Anjum Rizvi in a statement.

Randeep who is an ardent fan of Naseeruddin, will share screen space with him after a gap of eleven years. The two were last seen in Randeep’s debut, ‘Monsoon Wedding’, which was released in 2001. “I am privileged that my first ever scene in cinema was with Naseer sahab. I have been doing theatre with him which has been a learning experience. He is an institution in himself. I am glad that I have finally got an interesting film to share screen space with him. I’m looking forward to work with him in front of camera again after so many years,” Randeep said.
