The country’s second largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto Ltd said it is recalling “some” of its motorcycles to address the problem of faulty starter motor.

“Recently a non-conformance in the starter motor relays of some of our motorcycles has come to our notice. We have already worked out an effective solution for this and the same has been informed to our dealers for implementation at their end,” Bajaj Auto President (Motorcycles) K Srinivas said.

He, however, did not share details such as whether it is limited to only one model or affecting multiple models and the number of units being recalled. “We would like to reiterate that this is simply a routine matter of dealing with any after-sales issues,” Srinivas said. As per reports, the company is recalling its flagship motorcycle Pulsar 220cc DTS-i to fix the faulty starter.
