But this film is not like Haalunda Tavaru, clarifies director Ramesh Raj. The hero Paramesh is from Chikkaballapur and so are producers Varadaraju, Sriramulu and the director. Sriramulu (not the minister, please) also plays the second lead. A mother’s pain after losing her child is supposedly the film’s highlight (now you know where the tears start).

As for the story, it is a ‘healthy mix’ of love and affection in a joint family. Paramesh is ‘working in the military’ and Tabla Nani plays a politician. Actor Muni is the villain in the film, which also has Girija Lokesh and Krishnegowda. Abhiman is the composer while Jagadish Wali is the cameraman. The film will be shot at locations in Bangalore, Sakleshpur and Teerthahalli for 35 days. Pooja did feature in suspense thrillers (Accident), and heroine-oriented films (Anu), now it is the chance of Tavaru to claim her. Keep the hankies ready!
