Police bust LPG cylinder racket, 2 held

The arrested have been identified as Prathap and Pandu of Koodumangalur village. The accused were engaged in stealing and selling LPG cylinders in Kodagu, Mysore and Hassan districts for the past three years. Police also were successful in seizing 40 cylinders from the accused through an operation which was carried out based on a tip off. However, the main accused behind the racket including Ganesh and Moganne Ganesh are still at large and efforts are on to nab them.

It was also unearthed during investigation that the accused were stealing cylinders supplied to various schools for mid-day meal scheme.
