Comed-K online application process begins

Close on the heels of the entrance examinations conducted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comed-K), the application process for the undergraduate medical, dental and engineering courses has begun.

The online application process for Comed-K undergraduate courses entrance test (UGET) commenced on Saturday. The test is being conducted for 20,000 seats. As many as 12 private medical colleges, 25 dental, and 150 engineering colleges will take part in the Comed-K counselling. Consortium chief executive A S Srikanth said around 70,000 applications were expected. The test is scheduled for May 6.

The Comed-K officials have requested students to send filled-in application forms to Comed-K office by speed post or courier, on or before April 10, along with a demand draft drawn in favour of ‘COMEDK’ payable in Bangalore.

The DD has to be for Rs 900 for three subjects (either PCM or PCB) for entrance to MBBS and BDS. For the engineering course, DD has to be drawn for Rs 1,100 for four subjects (PCMB).

Candidates have to send their recent identical photographs along with DD, a photocopy of Class 10 marks card, or the school leaving certificate as a proof of the date of birth.

Applications for undergraduate architecture courses will be issued on May 21.

The rank list for the UGET exam is expected to be announced by June 8. Applications can be downloaded from www.comedk.org.
