College student killed in clash in Raj hotel

A college student was allegedly killed in a clash between some students and employees of a hotel in Sikar district, police said on Sunday.

The incident happened on Saturday when a group of hostel students had gone out for dinner at the hotel on Jaipur-Bikaner highway. They got into a fight with the hotel’s staff. Mukesh, 20, received severe head injuries and was taken to Sikar district hospital, from where he was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur.

He died en route to Jaipur. Police said they are investigating why the clash broke out.
Those who were present in the hotel at the time of the incident told police that both sides fought fiercely.

Youth commits suicide

A 20-year-old youth committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train, police said on Sunday. The incident happened in Sanganer on Saturday. “The deceased, Dheerendra Sharma, left his house in Triveni Nagar and jumped in front of the train. Locals spotted the body and informed police,” a police official said.

The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained.
