Elated over the student of the institute now adorning the seat of chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, the authorities at Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) have mailed a congratulatory note to Akhilesh Yadav.  The Yadav junior is scheduled to take oath as chief minister on March 15.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, principal of the college B G Sangameshwara said following the development, an email has been sent to Akhilesh, besides making repeated attempts to convey the message over phone.

He exuded confidence that the proud alumnus of the institute will not forget his alma mater and will send an invitation for the ceremony.

However, if not invited, plans are there to meet him on behalf of the college on another occasion after the ceremony.

“We will wait for an appropriate time till Akhilesh comes out of the busy schedule,” said Sangameshwara.

However, Dasharat Rai a Congress leader and also Akhilesh’s friend here since SJCE days, is learnt to have left to be a part of the event.

Karuna, a Mysorean and another friend of Akhilesh presently working in a university near Uttar Pradesh is also most likely to attend the ceremony, said Sangameshwara.
