JOIN USUnder attack over the killing of a young IPS officer allegedly by the mining mafia, Madhya Pradesh government has removed the incharge of a police station under whose limits the brutal incident had occurred.
The transfer was effected even as the Opposition Congress made plans to observe a bandh in the BJP-ruled state tomorrow demanding a CBI probe into the murder of 30-year-old Narendra Kumar Singh in Morena district last week.“Banmore Station Incharge V B S Raghuwanshi was yesterday line-attached (removed from field duties) as his performance was not satisfactory”, Morena Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Singh told reporters in Morena today. Raghuwanshi has been replaced by Rakesh Tiwari.
The decision to remove Raghuwanshi was taken by the district police chief after a meeting with Morena Collector D D Agrawal and Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) R S Sikarwar.
