The BBMP is awaiting the report from Public Health Institute Lab on the food samples taken from the residential school.

On the  basis of the report, which is expected only on Monday,  the BBMP will initiate action against the management. Sources in the BBMP health department admitted that there was foul smell in the food, probably, due to the fungus in the coconut, dal or peanuts.

Samples have also been sent to the Forensic Lab at Madivala and results are expected on Saturday or early next week. Social Welfare Minister D Sudhakar visited the school on Friday and spoke to the students in the absence of the officials. “The principal and the warden of the school will be transferred as a punishment by the department”, sources in the Social Welfare Ministry said.
