BJP leader Dhananjaya Kumar alleged on Thursday that the Congress was misleading the people of Udupi-Chikmagalur Lok Sabha constituency by diverting from election issues.
“The Congress is unnecessarily raking up the naxal issue at a time when the BJP government has taken several measures to contain the menace. People are aware of the reality and cannot be duped. They will acknowledge the good work done by the State government and vote for the BJP candidate,” Kumar told a press meet in the city.
On Yeddyurappa staying away from campaigning for the bypoll, Kumar said the former chief minister wielded good influence over the people of the constituency and it was not required for him to tour the constituency.
