<p>The High Court on Friday reserved its order in connection with a petition challenging the Bangalore University’s decision to withdraw recognition of study centres in the City.<br /><br />Hearing a petition by Oceanic Education Society and nine others, challenging the withdrawal of recognition of 38 study centres (registered under Directorate Correspondence course and Distant Education) across the City, Justice Ashok B Hinchigeri reserved the orders. </p>.<p>The petitioners had moved the High Court alleging that the varsity decision was discriminatory in nature as the study centres associated with Syndicate members of the university were not derecognised.<br /><br />The varsity had withdrawn the recognition citing non-affiliation, beyond jurisdiction and lapse of the MoU period.</p>
