Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Dr K N Vijayaprakash has directed the taluk panchayat EO to initiate measures to construct toilets beside the National Highway to help the tourists and pilgrims who visit Dakshina Kannada district.
Speaking at water and sanitation committee meeting, he said that workers should be deployed to clean the toilets. Housing facility should be provided for them nearby.
He urged all the EO to prepare action plan for the construction of solid waste management units in the taluk and submit the same to the Zilla Panchayat by April 15.
