'Minorities support JD(S)'

Last Updated 17 March 2012, 17:41 IST

The people are fed up with the anti-people policies of state and Central government. So, minority communities are now supporting JD(S), said member of JD(S) state committee Azeez Ulla (Ajju).

Addressing a press meet here on Friday, he said, it is because of the achievements of H D Kumaraswamy — when he was chief minister — that people have realised the truth that JD(S) has worked for the benefit of minority communities.

When he was chief minister, Haj pilgrims were provided better facilities and he even encouraged mosques and Madrasas. People are angry with the BJP government, due to corruption by its ministers and legislators.

So the minority communities are now supporting the JD(S). Vice-president of state JD(S) minority wing Mohammed Rahmat Ulla, Humayun, secretary Riyaz Ahmed  and others were present.
