A woman was relieved of her gold chain and necklace worth Rs 1.5 lakh in an incident that occurred in broad daylight at 12.30 pm on Sunday.
The incident is said to have occurred near Annapurna Kalyan Mantap near ring road.
Subbulakshmi, resident of Kuvempunagar of the city was returning after attending a wedding of her relative at Annapurna choultry. When she was boarding the car, two bike-borne miscreants snatched the gold chain and necklace and sped from the scene.
In a similar incident, unidentified people in a bike snatching gold chain worth Rs 50,000 from a woman in Vidya Nagar two days ago was also reported.
Land Army office staff Gowramma was going home for lunch near Mangala school in Vidyanagar when the incident occurred. Hassan police have registered a case.
