This is the first IPO from a media company in India in the last two years.
Promoted by Sameer Manchanda, Joint Managing Director of the media company IBN 18 which runs channels like CNN-IBN, Colors and IBN Lok Mat; DEN is a leading cable operator in the country with a subscriber base of over 10 million.

In a bid to consolidate its business, DEN is planning expansion across key markets in the country through strategic acquisitions. The company is also focusing on Southern Indian states for expanding its business. Karnataka, which has 7.9 million TV owning households, is also an important market for DEN, said the company. DEN is present in 30 leading cities across the state.

Commenting on the future growth of cable business, Juniper Advisor’s Head Equity Research KSR Reddy said, “Deregulation, regionalisation of content and availability of organised funding are the main factors driving the growth.”
