<p>Minister for Animal Husbandry and Libraries Revu Naik Belamagi seems to have been unnerved by the criticism to his statement that he had been to the resort - along with other MLAs loyal to former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa - to escape being pestered by drought-hit people of his constituency seeking water and electricity. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Belamagi has vowed that he will never resort to resort politics once again. <br /><br />He has also apologised to the people of the State and the Opposition parties for his statement. The minister was clarifying over the controversy triggered by his remarks during a press conference in the city on Sunday. <br /><br />“I was only joking with journalists that day. But, still I should not have made those remarks,” he said. <br /><br />Belamagi said it was Yeddyurappa who made him a minister and hence, he went to the resort along with Yeddyurappa’s supporters to show loyalty. <br /><br />The minister said he was committed to the service of the people of his constituency who had made him an MLA four times. </p>
