Bangalore-based realty major Mantri Developers, on Tuesday, signed an MoU with Cisco to develop new ICT-enabled real estate model ‘Mantri Connected Communities and Smart Homes’.

The agreement applies to all residential projects that are currently in the design or construction phase like Mantri Espana, DSK Pinnacle, etc.

Cisco will help integrate technology into the heart of the community, to deliver citizen services such as intelligent concierge, doctor consultation, private tutoring and other digital lifestyle services.

Smart Homes will have acess to features such as wireless door locks and video door stations for security, smart interiors with customised settings for lights, blinds, AC and a touch-screen panel on the wall with IP control lights.

Mantri Developers CMD Sushil Mantri said: “Technology is changing the way we live today. Smart Home is one of the latest offerings which costs additional Rs 300 to Rs 400 per sq ft. In the future, as demand goes up, the cost would come down. With the increase in awareness in the next 2-3 years, all our homes will be digitised.”

A 5BHK (6,000 sq ft) at Mantri Espana Smart Home, on outer ring-road, would cost Rs 4.5 crore.
