JOIN USThe CCB sleuths arrested a woman and two men at an apartment in Padavu, Mangaluru city, on charges of engaging in flesh trade.
The arrested are Sujatha alias Arundathi (30), Manjunath (38) and Harish (53).
Acting on a tip-off that flesh trade is being carried out in an apartment, the police raided and arrested the three persons and rescued the women victims. They have also confiscated Rs 2,500 cash and two mobile phones from the arrested.
House ransacked
Unidentified miscreants ransacked a house and decamped with gold and cash worth Rs 2.88 lakh at Inna in Padubidri, Udupi district.
According to police, the theft took place in the absence of the owner. The complainant Flavia D'Silva has said that the theft has taken place in her absence from 8 am on December 8 to 1 pm on December 9. The missing gold ornaments include ear studs, gold chains, finger rings and Rs 7000 cash.
A case has been registered in Padubidri police station.
