<p>Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday denied allegations that the Centre is ignoring financial interests of states. <br /><br /></p>.<p>Mukherjee asserted that after the implementation of Sarkaria Commission’s recommendations, state’s are getting due share of revenue.<br /><br />During a debate on the Budget in Rajya Sabha, the finance minister said devolution of revenue to states has increased over the years.<br /><br />Earlier, the Trinamool Congress had raised the issue and accused the government of taking unilateral decisions on Central Sales Tax (CST).<br /><br />“You know what is happening on the CST. The states, in fact, are losing money, and a unilateral decision has been made not to give the states what is actually due to them," Trinamool member Derek O'Brien said during the debate.<br /><br />The finance minister pointed out that states are growing at a faster pace. He also hoped that the issue of General Sales Tax (GST) would be addressed.</p>
