“Tender of running stalls and other facilities in Dasara exhibition is procured by the company which passes through technical bid successfully,” said chairman of Karnataka Exhibition Authority B P Manjunath.

Addressing press persons here on Friday, he said, “When the companies bid for tender, it is only one company usually and two very rarely pass the technical bid and enter into financial bid. Among the two tender will be procured by the one with reasonable bidding.”

The famous Dasara exhibition attracts huge mass worldwide. Chances cannot be taken to risk lives of people who arrive. And thus tender will be given to only genuine and experienced companies. “It is not fair on the part of the advocate to make false allegations without understanding the procedures of ‘e tender procurement’. Exhibition ground is a place for cultural activities not a media to make money,” he said. The advocate who has alleged about scam in tender procedures, can sit with the committee of 11 member involved in the tender procurement and discuss directly about the issue, rather than giving false statements and mislead public.

Advocate and his people have lost nearly three cases regarding the matter in the court and this shows there is no place for illegal activities in Exhibition Authority. “If the advocate does not go before Lokayukta, KEA will go before it and seek justice,” he said.

The summer exhibition to be started from April 9 will be run by Ashwini Enterprises and Builders this year on contract of Rs 24,75,000, he added. In charge CEO Manjegowda, AO Sangeetha and others were present.
