Polling day on Sunday

It is unfortunate that polling percentage for the recent Lok Sabha election in Bangalore was low. Though there are many reasons for voters apathy ,the election commission should keep polling day on a SUNDAY(other than second Sunday and also not sandwiched with holidays).This will help self employed, private sector employees and unorganized sector to vote  without compensating any other day and this might increase polling percentage
 
With this even   a Government holiday can be reduced and a working day be used for productive purpose. We hope the election will experiment this in forth coming  BBMP elections
