The meeting was presided over by Additional Chief Secretary Vatsala Watsa.<br /><br />The State government has set up the officers’ committee under the chairmanship of the additional chief secretary to recommend measures on doctors’ demands. <br />Doctors appointed on contract basis have announced that they would submit resignation in unison if their demands were not fulfiled before September 28.<br /><br />Meeting postponed<br />Principal Secretary of Health Department I R Perumal said the committee postponed the meeting as it felt that there was a need to discuss the demands in detail. <br />“Anyhow there is still 20-day’s time. Doctors have threatened to resign on September 28. Before that we will resolve the issue”, he said.<br /></p>
