Give priority to education: Speaker

There is a need to give priority to education, said Assembly Speaker K G Bopaiah.

He was speaking at the valedictory of the diamond jubilee celebrations of Kottageri Government Higher Primary School in Gonikoppa.

He said the government schools should not be neglected. Arameri Kalancheri Mutt Shanthamallikarjuna Swamiji said “education helps an individual to gain knowledge.”

As part of the diamond jubilee celebrations, there was volleyball, tug of war, slow bike race competitions for the villagers. The alumni of the school Dr M Ganapathi, Alamengada Vittal, M Subbaiah and others were felicitated on the occasion.
