<p>Manasa, 26, daughter of a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) allegedly committed suicide at her house at Santrupti Nagar on the outskirts of the City on Sunday afternoon. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The reason for the extreme step taken by Manasa, however, remains a mystery.<br /><br />The woman was found hanging from the staircase railings. The matter came to light when some of her friends came to her house. <br /><br />When she did not answer the doorbells, they peeped through the window to find Manasa hanging.<br /><br /> Manasa, the daughter of Gejjappa, a DySP with the Revenue Encroachment Clearance Cell, took the extreme step when she was alone at home as the other family members had been to Chitradurga for a wedding. <br /><br />She also had been to the wedding, but returned to the City on Saturday night with her brother. <br /><br />The latter went back to Chitradurga later. <br /><br />The police forced the door open and retrieved the body. Sources said that she had left a death note stating that no one was responsible for her death and that she was taking her life “disgusted at the ways of life”. <br /><br />Manasa was married to Mohan Kumar, a software professional, two years ago. Mohan is now in Australia on a company project. Manasa was working with a leading IT firm in the City. <br /><br />Reasons unknown<br /><br />Shock and disbelief was the mood at her residence. <br /><br />One of her cousins told Deccan Herald that he is unable to believe Manasa could take such a step. <br /><br />He said she had no issues whatsoever with her husband and her in-laws. “She had been to Australia two months ago to meet her husband.” <br /><br />Manasa’s body has been shifted to Victoria Hospital for post mortem. Hulimavu Police have registered a case.</p>
