Last Updated 16 April 2012, 13:27 IST

Every year on April 24, veteran songstress Lata Mangeshkar honours someone from the field of art or social service in the memory of her late father Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar.

This year, the award recipient is none other than Madhuri Dixit, who is back for good in aamchi Mumbai after a lengthy stay in the United States.

Madhuri has always been a Lata Mangeshkar fan. In fact, she says the highlight of her career was when Lata sang Didi Tera Devar Deewana and other songs for her in the superhit Hum Apke Hain Kaun.

Says Lata, “Madhuri is a very fine actress and one of the most beautiful and graceful dancers of our cinema. I always like watching her on screen. Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and Devdas are my favourites. Whenever we meet, we chat in Marathi.”
