Security agencies under police scanner

The State government has appointed a Deputy Inspector General of Police - Internal Security Division as controlling authority, who has been empowered to issue the licence for running a private security agency.

The office of DIGP-IS is located in the office of Director General and Inspector General of Police, Number 2, Nrupatunga Road, Bangalore. The DIGP-IS office may be contacted to obtain license or to renew the license by paying prescribed fee in form of demand draft.
The fee to obtain or to renew the license is as follows: Rs 5,000 to obtain fresh licence to operate in one district and Rs 5,000 for renewal, Rs 10,000 to obtain fresh licence to operate in more than one and upto five districts and Rs 5,000 for renewal and Rs 25,000 to operate in the whole State and Rs 25,000 for the renewal.
